Barcelona - Integral Yoga Centre

Kirana met Swami Satchidananda at the age of seventeen, at a satsang in her native Richmond, Virginia, USA. Eleven years later, in 1992, decided to become an Integral Yoga teacher in 1992, completing her formal training in Swami Satchidananda’s ashram, Yogaville, in 1993. At the same time she was certified as a body work practitioner, studying with Yamuna Zake. Since then, Kirana has been living near Barcelona, Spain teaching yoga and giving private bodywork sessions. In 2001 she opened the Integral Yoga Center of Barcelona in the village of Sant Pere de Ribes. This magical space has touched and transformed the lives of hundreds. Currently, Kirana is training to be an ecumenical minister in the tradition of Integral Yoga.

Nalanie H. Chellaram is a spiritual teacher dedicated to selfless service. She was born in 1954 into the distinguished Indian family the Harilela’s. She grew up in the presence of a close family friend, who, unbeknown at the time, was to have a deep and lasting influence in her life. This frequent visitor and friend was Swami Satchidananda, her beloved Guru. Nalanie is Chairwoman of the Integral Yoga Centre Gibraltar and she gives Satsangs both there and Internationally.

She is also the founder of "Service in Satchidananda", a non-profit international collection of charities established in honor of Sri Swami Satchidananda and based on his core teaching of selfless service.

The Centre opened in 1998, all teachers donate their time and all classes by donation.

The centre is a registered charity, after covering all running costs of the Centre, every penny is used to serve others.

SOL Yoga & Holistic Therapy Centre is set in the picturesque Almanzora valley, sitting atop the small village of La Cinta, Arboleas. With stunning views of the foothills of the Sierra Filabres. Andalucia, Spain. Founded in April 2010, the Centre has been providing up to 12 Yoga classes per week in both English & Spanish, meditation classes, satsang, workshops and hosting regular Yoga related events and retreats. The Centre is very much involved in community events and fundraising.

Maya is a teacher who shares her enthusiasm for original and traditional Hatha Yoga within her classes. She has been practicing Yoga since 2003 and has been teaching since 2010. Her journey started with Integral Yoga, then sidetracked to Sivananda and in 2017 her heart returned to IY. Yoga classes with Maya involve Chanting, Asana (postures), Relaxation, Pranayama (breathing practices) & Meditation, focusing on improving both mind and body. Every process is well explained and demonstrated throughout the session. Maya tries to maintain the purity and essence of Yoga as well as variety, which appeals to so many of her students.
